In your programme you may like to consider visiting the Indoor Rifle Range at 2nd Stamford’s Empingham Road HQ. We have a 6yd. Range with 4 firing points and air rifles with sights to suit all participants. A session for around 12 people is about one and a half hours in duration with as much shooting as we can fit in, usually a 5 shot sighter followed by a 10 shot target for each person.
The Range is run in accordance with P.O.R Rule 9.73 Shooting, part of which requires all participants under 18 years of age to have Positive Parental Consent (paperwork available).
The cost for this activity comes in 2 parts: (a) hire of the building, currently £10 per hour for Stamford & Bourne District Scouts, and (b) £1 per person (towards consumables and maintenance of equipment). Payment is requested at the time of session.
To initially check the availability of the Range please contact me: Range Supervisor ‘Chutny’ David Turner on
